Clearwater, FLA.CFY has contributed over $200,000+ in equipment and registration fees to ALL 17  football/cheer organizations across Pinellas County in 2025.

CFY, the leading advocate for youth athletics in Pinellas County, advanced its mission in 2025 by contributing over $200,000 to support approximately 5,000 participants in football and cheer programs. This continues CFY’s commitment to support youth in all areas throughout our county.

Following its countywide expansion in 2024, CFY awarded grants to the final two football and cheer programs during the October 2025 cycle, increasing its reach to 17 organizations and supporting 100% of all football/cheer programs in Pinellas County. These funds strengthen programs like the St. Pete Dolphins and Azalea Jr. Football Association, ensuring that nearly 40% of registered children receive full or partial coverage of their registration fees, removing financial barriers and opening doors for more youth to participate.

Fred Miller, CFY Board Chair, emphasized the organization’s commitment with its recent expansion in Pinellas County: “CFY is dedicated to ensuring every child has access to quality athletic programs, regardless of financial circumstances. These opportunities build teamwork, provide mentorship, and develop life skills that prepare youth for future success. In two short years we have reached every program from Tarpon Springs to south St. Petersburg!”

Established in 1972, CFY proudly supports youth athletics programs and organizations with an emphasis on skill-building activities, reaching over 15,000 Pinellas County youth annually and expanding. Funding efforts are aimed at providing the children of Pinellas County with the opportunity to participate in their chosen activity unhindered by costs. CFY’s Endowment allows that every dollar that is donated goes 100% to supporting a child. CFY continues to grow as we focus on three core areas: Youth Athletics Grants, Education, and Water Safety.
