MEANING BEHIND THE NAME

Why it's called "The Richard O. Jacobson Education Program" 

CFY's Education Program honors Richard O. Jacobson, founder of Jacobson Companies and a renowned philanthropist. His transformational support of CFY Pinellas, Pinellas County Schools, universities, and the Mayo Clinic helped establish the CFY Endowment and expand educational scholarships and vocational scholarship opportunities for Pinellas County students.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PERIOD IS CLOSED AND WILL OPEN NOVEMBER 15 FOR THE CLASS OF 2027. We offer three scholarships to support local students: the ROJ Traditional Scholarship, the CFY/SPC (St. Petersburg College) Scholarship, and the Vocational/Trade Scholarship sponsored by Duke Energy. Learn more about each program, including eligibility, application requirements, and upcoming deadlines below.

Investing in the Future of Pinellas County Students

CFY's mission is to provide educational scholarships in Pinellas County through the ROJ Traditional Scholarship, CFY/SPC (St. Petersburg College) Scholarship, and Vocational/Trade Scholarship Program sponsored by Duke Energy. These programs help graduating Pinellas County high school seniors pursue postsecondary education and career training opportunities without financial barriers.
