CFY Pinellas Wins Target Circle Grant Thanks to 20,932 Community Votes

With support from 20,932 community votes, CFY Pinellas received a $1,048.56 Target Circle grant to help fund youth athletics, educational scholarships, and water safety programs throughout Pinellas County.

What Is the Target Circle Community Voting Program?

Target Circle is Target's free loyalty program, and one of its community-focused features allows guests to vote for local nonprofits they want to support. Each voting cycle, Target sets aside a grant pool, and participating organizations earn a share based on the number of votes they receive.

Here is how the program works:

1. Target guests join Target Circle and select a cause to vote for in the app.
2. Votes are tallied across a set voting period.
3. Participating nonprofits earn a portion of Target's grant funding, based on their share of total votes.
4. Funds are distributed directly to the winning organizations to support their programs.

For CFY Pinellas, that meant every vote cast between the program's launch and June 30th directly translated into funding for local kids.

CFY Pinellas is thrilled to announce the final results of this year's Target Circle Community Voting Program:

• 20,932 votes were cast for CFY Pinellas by Target guests.
• Those votes resulted in a $1,048.56 grant awarded to CFY Pinellas.

How This Grant Supports Pinellas County Youth

CFY Pinellas has been serving the youth of Pinellas County since 1972, and this grant will go toward the same three core areas of giving that guide all of the organization's work:

• Youth Athletics, helping cover registration fees, equipment, and other costs so kids can play the sports they love, regardless of their family's financial situation. Families and eligible organizations can learn more and apply for a grant through CFY Pinellas.
• Education, supporting scholarships and educational opportunities that help local students pursue their goals beyond high school.
• Water Safety, funding programs like the Fred Fisher Water Safety Program sponsored by Duke Energy, which provides free swim lessons and water safety education to Title I elementary students across the county.

Because of CFY's Endowment, 100% of every dollar donated goes directly toward supporting a child, meaning this Target Circle grant will go straight to the programs that need it most.
